PagePins ("the extension", "we", "us") is a Chrome extension that lets you highlight, annotate, and save content from webpages so you can find it again later. This policy explains what data the extension handles and what we do (and don't do) with it.

The short version

Data the extension handles

1. Content you choose to save. When you select text and save a highlight, note or page, PagePins stores that text, your note, and the page's title and web address (URL), along with timestamps. This data is kept in your browser's local extension storage on your device. We cannot see it.

2. Settings. Your preferences, such as day or night mode, are stored locally.

3. License information (Pro only). If you subscribe to PagePins Pro, you receive a license key. The key and its activation status are stored locally. When you activate or re-check your license, the key is sent to Lemon Squeezy to verify it is valid.

4. Payment information. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Payments, billing details, and receipts are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy. We never see or store your card details. Please see Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for how they handle that information.

What we do not collect

PagePins does not collect or transmit your browsing history, the content of pages you visit, your personal identity, location, or analytics about how you use the extension. [CONFIRM: remove or edit this section if you add analytics or crash reporting.]

How your data is used

Data you save is used only to show it back to you inside the extension: in your memory dashboard, search results, and exports. Your license key is used only to determine whether Pro features are unlocked.

Page access

PagePins needs permission to run on webpages so that it can detect your text selection and let you save highlights and notes. It only acts on the content you explicitly select and save. It does not read, record, or transmit pages in the background.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We do not transfer your data to third parties except:
